Volunteers will gather at the Laurel River Lake Dam Spillway, pick up litter along the shore, and then gather for a free picnic and door prize drawing. Volunteers will receive a free T-shirt, while supplies last. A prize will be given for the most unusual piece of trash found, and a trophy will be awarded to the county with the most volunteers participating in the event.
Volunteers will clean up between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Laurel Dam Beach Spillway. The picnic will begin as volunteers return to the spillway.
