Volunteers can do their part to keep their community clean during the Lawrence County Cleanup on Saturday, April 14. Volunteers can pick up litter before April 14 if they have plans for that day. Volunteers will receive free T-shirts, while supplies last, and be treated to a free cook-out.
On April 14, volunteer registration will be from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. on the Court House lawn. Volunteers will receive their trash bags, safety vests and gloves, which were provided by PRIDE. Volunteers can choose the location where they will pick up litter.
At 12:30 p.m., all volunteers are invited to an appreciation cookout hosted by the Lawrence County Extension Office, which is located at 249 Industrial Park Road in Louisa.
To volunteer before April 14, pick up supplies at Judge-Executive John Osborne’s office starting April 2. Pick up litter and leave the filled trash bags on the roadside. Then, call Judge Osborne’s office so the bags can be removed promptly. Volunteers who report their cleanup results to Judge Osborne’s office will receive a free T-shirt, while supplies last.
