Special Announcement by Pulaski County Recycling Center

December 10, 2012

In 2013, Pulaski County will boast a convenient new recycling service rarely available in a rural area. It will dramatically increase access to recycling so that county residents may send materials to be re-used in our economy just as easily as they send their trash to be buried in a landfill.

The public is invited to a special announcement about the recycling service on Monday, Dec. 10. The event will begin at 10 a.m. at the Pulaski County Recycling Center, which is located at 218 West Highway 80.

The event will feature remarks by Congressman Hal Rogers, Judge-Executive Barty Bullock, Mayor Eddie Girdler, Waste Connections Division Vice President David Wiggins, Solid Waste/Recycling Coordinator Gerald Hines, and 109 Board Chairman Joe Dungan.

The speakers will explain how the new recycling service will work and how it will benefit the community.

For more information about the event, please call the PRIDE office at 677-6150.
