If you are anxious to leave winter behind and get outdoors, then make plans to volunteer for the Magoffin County Spring Cleanup event on Saturday, April 5.
Volunteers are needed to pick up litter at the Battle of Puncheon Culture and Heritage Park, which is at the junction of Hwy 7 and Hwy 1471, across from South Magoffin Elementary School.
All help would be appreciated to make the park look its best before the Battle of Puncheon/Half Mountain celebration is held there April 11-13.
Kid-friendly areas will be available. Law enforcement will be directing traffic.
Volunteers should meet at South Magoffin Elementary School at 9 a.m. on April 5, rain or shine. They will receive trash bags and gloves, provided by PRIDE. The event will end when the park is clean, likely by 2 p.m.
