Laurel Lake Cleanup

April 21, 2012

The annual Laurel Lake Cleanup is set for Saturday, April 21, 2012, to coincide with Earth Day and PRIDE Spring Cleanup Month. Volunteers will gather at the Laurel River Lake Dam Spillway, pick up litter along the shore, and then gather for a free picnic and door prizes - including a free one-day pontoon rental at Holly Bay Marina. Volunteers also will receive a free T-shirt.

Volunteers will clean up between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Laurel Dam Beach Spillway. The picnic will begin as volunteers return to the spillway.
