Pike County wins PRIDE volunteerism award

Pike County received a PRIDE trophy on Oct. 5, 2015, for outstanding volunteerism. Among 42 counties of southern and eastern Kentucky, Pike County was the Runner Up in recruiting volunteers during the 2015 PRIDE Spring Cleanup. Pike County recruited 846 Spring Cleanup volunteers. Johnson County received a trophy on Oct. 5, 2015, for outstanding volunteerism. The county recruited more volunteers than any other community across 42 counties of southern and eastern Kentucky during the 2015 PRIDE Spring Cleanup.
