Homes Affected by Waste Water Treatment Programs

245 homes in Whitley County have received funding from the Homeowner Septic System Program since 1997
267 homes in Whitley County have been affected by the Wastewater Construction Projects since 1997
250 homes in Whitley County have been affected by 531 Corps of Engineers Projects since 1997

Cleanup Summary

Following is a summary of cleanup totals for Whitley County since 1997:
37 streams/lakes/rivers cleaned
63 illegal dumps eliminated
279 roadways cleaned
575 miles of roadway cleaned
2,184 individual appliances and 253.88 tons of appliances collected
83,904 tires collected
7,838 bags of trash, 5,435 tons and 918 cubic yards of trash collected
18,015 volunteers have contributed 58,858 volunteer hours

Announcements

Free curbside pick-up of recyclables is available to the residents of Williamsburg, thanks to a partnership between the City of Williamsburg and Sanders Solid Waste & Recycling. Sanders will pick up recyclables every other Friday. To join the program, please call Sanders at 606-656-0215 or 606-280-1302.
