If you have ever noticed a golf-hole marker in the middle of a corn field you were probably looking at what was once the deepest part of a wetland. One does not need to dig holes and use soil charts to figure out where wetlands occurred on the land. There are many signs of historic drainage that remain evident today, and some can be seen while driving 70MPH. This presentation examines numerous drained wetlands so you can learn how to identify their ghosts on forested and open landscapes.
