Free Solid Waste Management Workshops
February 19, 2019 by clackeySouthern and eastern Kentuckians are invited to a free workshop to learn more about solid waste management, as well as how to recruit volunteers for a Spring Cleanup event in their community.
In March, PRIDE will host four free Environmental Leadership and Solid Waste Management workshops to assist communities with their solid waste management issues. Topics will include: recycling, composting, solid waste compliance, waste tire management and litter abatement. The agendas are available on the individual workshop listings on the PRIDE calendar and Facebook page.
From the following list, participants can choose the workshop date and location that is most convenient for them (click the link to see the Facebook event, which includes an agenda):
- March 6, 10 am – 4 pm CT – Adair County Extension Office, 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY 42728
- March 12, 10 am – 4 pm ET – KRADD Conference Center, 917 Perry Park Road, Hazard, KY 41701
- March 13, 10 am – 4 pm ET – Big Sandy ADD, 110 Resource Court, Prestonsburg, KY 41653
- March 26, 10 am – 4 pm ET – Ashland Train Depot, 99 15th Street, Ashland, KY 41101
At all workshops:
- Registration will begin at 9:30 ET local time.
- A free lunch will be provided to participants.

Continuing Education
CEUs for 5 credits have been approved for all elected officials.
